Effective Use of Water Resources
We are working to make effective use of water resources.
Effective use of hot wastewater from distillation
(1) By reusing the water in our factory boilers, we are reducing our water and fuel consumption.
(2) We reuse the water to wash the pallets used to transport products and to clean equipment within the factory.
(3) We reuse the water to heat the factory in winter.
(4) We reuse the water to heat the greenhouses at Kirishima Sweet Potato Plant “Imo-Terasu.”
We reuse a portion of the treated wastewater.
At our shochu lees recycling plants, we separate the material left over after methane fermentation into solids and liquids, purify the liquid, and reuse 100 tons of it within the plant each day.
