At Kirishima Shuzo, we strive to uphold a management policy “we build a company that is rooted in the community and grows alongside it”. We are dedicated to actively using local resources with care via sustainable efforts to give back to the area by recycling shochu lees and sweet potato scraps generated during manufacturing process and by reforesting our water resource areas to help protect the environment.

Kirishima Environmental Actions 2030
Kirishima Shuzo drafted “Kirishima Environmental Actions 2030,” an action plan for our operations up to fiscal year 2030 designed to realize the concept for sustainable shochu production outlined in “KIRISHIMA SATSUMAIMO CYCLE ~Turning Sweet Potatoes into Energy~”.
We make efforts on two axes, climate change measures and nature conservation, with a focus on achieving net-zero CO2 emissions from our factories and offices to virtually zero by the 2030 fiscal year.
We will take environmental initiatives in accordance with Kirishima Environmental Actions 2030.
