In addition to honkaku shochu, the production of spirits has also been certified under the international food safety management system standard "FSSC22000"

KIRISHIMA SHUZO CO., LTD. has updated its registration of the international standard for food safety management systems, "FSSC22000" for the production of honkaku shochu and spirits* (including those in glass containers) at its headquarters and Shibita factories on October 14, 2025.
With this registration revision, the scope of application of FSSC22000 will be expanded to include not only honkaku shochu production, which was acquired on December 11, 2024, but also spirits production.
Our products include "Tochukaso spirits Kin Kirishima" and "Kuro Kirishima MELT", which fall under the category spirits.
Since April 2013, Kirishima Shuzo has been conducting company-wide activities by sharing and coordinating information under its own quality management system, "Kirishima Quality Management 'Yui'", which is based on ISO 9001*.
Through various activities, we will continue to provide high-quality, safe and reliable honkaku shochu that will make our customers feel even more excited.

■What is FSSC22000?
FSSC22000 is an abbreviation for Food Safety System Certification 22000, and is an international certification standard for food safety management systems approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) as one of the food safety certification schemes. It consists of ISO22000, the international standard for food safety management systems, the TS22002 series of specifications for hygiene management that form the basis, and additional requirements unique to FSSC22000.
