Apologies to customers who purchased "Hakko Amasake Shiro koji" and request for cooperation in voluntary recall

KIRISHIMA SHUZO CO., LTD. has confirmed that some containers of "Hakko Amasake Shiro koji" sold at the Kirishima Shuzo Online Shop and "Shochu no Sato Kirishima Factory Garden" have liquid on them due to leakage of contents. As there is a risk of mold or bacteria growing from the leaked liquid, we have temporarily halted sales of the product in question and will voluntarily recall the product to be on the safe side. The cause is currently under investigation with the manufacturing contractor, but no health damage has been reported so far.
We deeply apologize for any inconvenience and concern caused to our customers.
We will continue to strengthen our quality control system and strive to improve quality in the future. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
