KIRISHIMA SHUZO CO., LTD., Ltd. will release Spirits "KIRISHIMA MELT BARLEY 21 Year" and "KIRISHIMA MELT RICE 25 Year" on Monday, June 16, 2025 at the Kirishima Shuzo Online Shop and the Shochu no Sato Kirishima Factory Garden Shop.

A new lineup has been added to the Kirishima MELT series, which offers the mellow, melting flavor and amber color achieved through barrel aging. "KIRISHIMA MELT BARLEY 21 years old"※1is Spirits made by aging Shochu for 21 years, including storage in sherry and white oak barrels. The sherry barrels give off a blackcurrant aroma, while the barley has a deep caramel-like aroma. The rich, calming sweetness lingers on for a long time, with just the right amount of acidity. "KIRISHIMA MELT RICE 25 Years" is Spirits that has been aged for 25 years, including storage in white oak barrels. It has a vanilla-like aroma from the white oak barrels and a lemongrass-like aroma. It is creamy, yet has a bright and refreshing aftertaste, making it a perfect match for a wide range of food genres.

In fact, this product is a standalone product of the barrel-aged barley Shochu and rice Shochu that were blended as part of "Kiri no Kura," a limited edition product released in 1996 to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Kirishima Shuzo's founding. After the sale of "Kiri no Kura" ended, the products were carefully aged for over 21 years. The rich aroma and deep flavor of each raw liquor quietly blended together. After nearly a quarter of a century, this is a masterpiece that has been transformed into Spirits. We hope you enjoy it.
